Software to record, control and respond to events
Control Insight is a cost effective and efficient way to teach computer control in the Secondary
classroom. The software provides the flexibility to use either computer simulations or real-life working components. Supplied with comprehensive teaching and learning guides your pupils will quickly become confident and discriminating ICT users.
Using Control Insight students can explore pre-designed environments, manipulating the sensors on-screen to
make things happen. They can also access the design mode of these scenarios to explore the information and solve problems.
Control Insight allows the user to change easily between the modes of Design, Test and Build. Students can design part of a system and test it at any time, providing them with the perfect tool to help them develop their ideas and increase their understanding of control procedures.
The drag and drop mode of designing a control system
means that adding new components is easy. Students can
quickly design their own systems from scratch, even
using sounds, animations and graphics to bring their
scenarios to life.
Students can work within the animated environments of
a wide range of projects. Each project comes complete
with three sample files, at various stages of completion,
allowing for differentiation in the classroom.
Control Insight is ideal for use with interactive whiteboards, making it suitable for teachers to use to teach the concepts and techniques of ICT based modelling to the whole class.
Control Insight can be used with 17 sensor input types and 12 output devices.
