Alphabet
Worksheets
Activities that develop a child's control of the small muscles of the hands (fine motor
skills) allow children to make the precise movements necessary for forming letters and improve hand/eye co-ordination.

Early
Essentials is a super tool to improve fine motor skills. For example many of the Early Essentials paint templates can help the emergent writer to practise their fine motor skills. See the Butterfly, Dot-to-dot, Finish the Face and Windmill templates for examples which can be completed on-screen using the mouse or printed out for completion in the classroom.
Below is a selection of additional alphabet sheets in Adobe PDF format to use as an extra resource. Click here to download the whole alphabet of worksheets. Each sheet gives the child practice in writing each letter plus a simple activity is included using the letter. We hope that you will find the alphabet sheets useful when your children start their first steps in letter writing and letter recognition.
