Graph Templates

The Graph templates allow you to explore a range of graphing activities with your class. Each template has been linked with the graph type most suited to the activity. However, it can be useful to look at some of the other options to compare the differences. In this way children can begin to develop an understanding of how the graph layout can make it harder or easier to interpret results.

Bean Survey Link with Science and growing beans. Measure the roots or the shoots over
the period of growth and plot these
on the graph.

Blank
Here you can create your own graph to
fit in with any topic.

Crisp Survey Which is the most favourite crisp
flavour? Do all shops stock the same flavours or do some shops only sell
some flavours?

jumps, hops, skips or catches can the children do in a minute?

Humpty Dumpty Survey Was Humpty pushed?
This activity looks at opinion polls.
Discuss the options and then ask the children to vote on which answer
they think is the most likely.

Does the distance from school influence
the way pupils travel to school? Link
this with the Journeys to School Chart activity.
