Early Essentials has a number of Wordbanks ready
installed, but it is very easy to create and add your
own by following the steps below.
|
1. Start Notepad from
the Start > Program Files > Accessories menu. |
|
2. Type in your list of words, making sure to hit the
return key after each word. You can put up to 20 words
in a single Wordbank. If you want the words to appear
in a particular order in the Wordbank, type the words
in that order.
|
|
3. Once you are happy with the list, click File>Save As and navigate to the folder where you have
Early Essentials installed. Double click on the Wordbank
folder to open it.
|
|
4. Choose an appropriate name for your Wordbank and click
the Save button.

If you open the Wordbank in the Early
Essentials Write program now, your Wordbank will appear
alongside the others. In a similar way you can also
change or delete any of the Wordbanks - make sure to
leave at least one in the folder though, or the feature
will no longer work.
NB: You can add a wordbank to a specific template
using its .eet (Early Essentials Template) file. Click
here to learn more
about changing templates.
