Main toolbar

You can find here the most frequently used functions that can be found on the Main Toolbar of Imagine (most of them can be accessed from the menu as well).
 
On clicking on the Open Project icon you can open different Imagine projects. As default you will see the project directory of Imagine, but you can choose any other directories.
(It is the same as choosing in the File menu the Open Project sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Save project icon you can save your actual work (project). Saving a project for the first time, Imagine asks you to decide on the name and directory to save into.
(It is the same as choosing in the File menu the Save Project sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Open Demo icon you can choose among the demo projects of Imagine that will show you what could be developed in Imagine.
(It is the same as choosing in the File menu the Open Demo sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Explore icon you can look behind the screens of Imagine to see the structure and properties of the project you are presently working on.
(It is the same as choosing in the View menu the Explore sub-menu.)
On clicking on the New Turtle icon you can create a new turtle on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the New Pane icon you can create a new pane on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the New Button icon you can create a new button on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the New Text Box icon you can create a new text box on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the Multimedia icon you can create a new multimedia element (Wave Sound, MIDI Music, Melody, Video Clip) on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the New Gadget icon you can create a new gadget (Horizontal Slider, Vertical Slider, Web Browser, Web Link, Input Box) on the actual page or pane.
On clicking on the Show/Hide Paint Bar icon you can show or hide the Paint Toolbar,  on which you can find functions which help you in drawing on the background.
(It is the same as choosing in the View menu the Paint Toolbar sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Pause All/Resume icon you can pause all or resume the processes that are actually running within Imagine.
On clicking on the Stop All icon you can Stop All processes that are actually running within Imagine.
(It is the same as choosing in the Edit menu the Stop All sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Stop Command Line icon you can stop the execution of the command that has been typed into the Command Line for execution. It is useful if you mistakenly issued a command you did not intend to and would have to wait for a longer period to finalise execution.
(It is the same as choosing in the Edit menu the Stop Command Line sub-menu.
)
Clicking on the New Page icon you can create a new page.
(It is the same as choosing in the Page menu the New sub-menu.)
On clicking on the Page n icon you can go to the chosen (n) page. You will always have as many pages as you have created with the new page button (n). Moving your cursor over a Page button will show you its number (n).

Paint toolbar

On the Imagine Paint Toolbar you can find functions which help you in drawing on the background.

If you wish to hide or show the Paint toolbar, click on this icon: or choose in the View menu the Paint Toolbar sub-menu.

 
Clicking on the Background icon allows you to adjust parameters of the background. You can clean, load, save, or edit a background with Logomotion.
Clicking on the Select Area icon you can drag the mouse on the background to select a rectangular area on the background in order to move it or copy it.
Clicking on the Fill With Colour icon you can fill a closed area on the background with the actual colour.
Clicking on the Pencil... icon you can drag the mouse on the background to create a freehand drawing with the actual colour and pen width.
Clicking on the Line icon you can drag the mouse on the background to create a straight line.
Clicking on the Rectangle icon you can drag the mouse on the background to create a rectangle. If you click again on the icon you can create a filled rectangle.
Clicking on the Ellipse icon you can drag the mouse on the background to create a circle or ellipse. If you click again on the icon you can create a filled circle/ellipse.
Clicking on the Spray icon you can spray the background with the actual colour when clicking or dragging the mouse.
Clicking on the Erase icon you can erase the background when clicking or dragging.
Clicking on the Pen Width n icon you can choose a pen width (1,2,5,10). This also effects all other drawing tools (freehand drawing, line, rectangle, ellipse).
Clicking on the Pen Width icon you can choose pen width more freely. This also effects all other drawing tools (freehand drawing, line, rectangle, ellipse).
Clicking on the colour names icon you can choose a pen colour from the given palette. This also effects all other drawing tools (freehand drawing, line, rectangle, ellipse).
Clicking on the Adjust Brightness icon you can adjust the brightness of the colour chosen from the palette. Dragging it to the left makes it darker, while dragging it to the right makes it lighter.
