LOGOTRON ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF POST 16
INTERACTIVE LEARNING SOFTWARE

Working Model 2D

The award winning desktop mechanical modelling system from Knowledge Revolution for creating and analysing mechanical systems. Widely used in engineering and CAD in Higher Education, now available for the first time at a special price for schools and further education. It puts onto the student’s own desktop a powerful, intuitive tool for designing and building models of physical systems, and simulating and analysing their behaviour. It is a rich addition to students’ experience and understanding in many fields of engineering and physics including dynamics, statics, control engineering, robotics and design. Schools and Further Education Price - £49.00 +VAT(multi-user packs available)

ActivStats

ActivStats presents a complete introductory statistics course on CD-ROM using a full range of MultiMedia to help you learn and understand introductory statistics concepts. ActivStats integrates video, simulation, animation, narration, text, interactive experiments, web access and Data Desk Lite (a full functioning statistics package) into a rich learning environment. Schools and Further Education Price - £99.00+VAT (multi-user packs available)

Data Desk

Data Desk in an interactive data analysis and statistics tool designed to help you understand your data better. The program is based on the philosophy of Exploratory Data Analysis, emphasising visual, interactive tools for finding patterns, trends, subgroups and outliers. No other application offers as powerful a set of tightly linked interactive tools. The Data Desk drag-and-drop interface lets you add or change the variable in any plot or table instantly. Schools and Further Education Price - £125.00 +VAT (multi-user packs available)

ADAM Interactive Physiology

This series of five programs provides the best way to learn the hardest parts of anatomy and physiology. Co-developed with Benjamin- Cummings, these CD-ROMS use richly detailed graphics, animation, sound, video and interactive quizzes to bridge the gap between simply memorising a concept and truly understanding it. Health care professionals will find this series of self-paced, programmed instruction to be a superb refresher course and reference source, as well as a communication tool to share concepts with patients and peers. Schools and Further Education Price - £245.00+VAT (For 5 CD Pack)

Interactive Differential Equations

Interactive Differential Equations (IDE) is a CD-ROM containing over 90 interactive differential equations tools and a Workbook with labs and exercises to be used with the tools. IDE covers the entire Differential Equations course: first order differential equations, second order differential equations, linear and non-linear applications, Laplace Transforms, series solutions, and boundary value problems. Applications are drawn from engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology. Schools and Further Education Price - £24.50 +VAT (multi-user packs available)

ActivPhysics 1

ActivPhysics 1 is a CD-ROM and workbook that explores the major introductory physics concepts. ActivPhysics 1 covers mechanics, thermodynamics, and waves. Based on Alan Van Heuvelen's proven active learning approach, the program uses simulations to help students visualise underlying physics and to become active participants in the course -- constructing concepts, confronting misconceptions, reasoning qualitatively about physical processes, and learning to use concepts to solve problems. Instructors can customise ActivPhysics through a built-in notebook called ActivPad. Those with access to the World Wide Web can link directly to the Internet and connect to external Web resources. Links can also be added to their university web site as well as the AWI site for updated and new problems. Schools and Further Education Price - £29.50 +VAT (multi-user packs available)

Modellus

Creating and exploring mathematical models is a fundamental task in science. Modellus is a hands-on, learning situation using the computer to create, simulate and analyse mathematical models interactively. To set up a model simply enter equations into Modellus as you would write them on paper. Constructing the animation of the model is easy; choose objects like images or vectors, give them properties like position or size. With an easy-to-use Windows user interface, graphs and tables are just a mouse click away. Schools and Further Education Price - £119+VAT (multi-user packs available)
