NEW BOOKS AND SOFTWARE MAKING THE INTERNET EASY IN THE CLASSROOM

LOGOTRON, The UK's leading software publisher for schools, has signed a multi-title deal with US-based Classroom Connect to bring a range of internet tools and resources to busy teachers in the UK.
The arrangement consists of Logotron launching a series of seven products, a mixture of books and CD-ROM’s which are designed to help teachers integrate Internet activities into the Curriculum with a minimum of fuss. The Classroom Connect series has been hugely successful in achieving this in the US and this is the first time any of the material has been available in the UK.

Michael Julian, Classroom Connect's Sales Director, comments, "Our Internet resources are really making a difference to teachers trying to optimise their use of new technology. We are delighted to work with Logotron to expand this service in the UK."

This announcement comes at the time when the Government is establishing the concept of the National Grid for Learning and making funds available for schools to get connected.

As Gerry Daish, Logotron's Sales and Marketing Director, puts it, "The investment in new computers and connections to the Internet represents a huge learning curve for most teachers. These proven books and resources will help even those least confident with the technology, to get started on Internet projects, find useful relevant information, generate lesson plans, etc, to help make the National Grid for Learning a reality."
