Success for Logotron's training workshop

Fresh from their merger with SEN specialists Widgit and a successful first year of independent trading, Logotron have been extending their ethos of 'Partnering the Teaching Profession' through a series of 'Hands-On Software Training Workshops'.

As a rolling program of regional events, these workshops have already been delivered in Salford, Exeter, Bromsgrove and Godmanchester - but Logotron is ambitious to reach the Advisory Service nationwide.

Delivering 'Hands-on' training for key products, Junior Control Insight for 'Control & Modelling' and Junior Viewpoint for Data Handling, has provided an enjoyable and effective learning experience for the delegates - and indeed for the Logotron team too!

One Godmanchester delegate believed the workshop helped him: '…have a clearer idea of the software and the learning possibilities for children', and he congratulated the 'friendly and informal approach of the Logotron team.'

Already, valuable feedback from the dozens of advisors who have attended has been built into product development and, most noticeably, the workshops themselves have evolved with increased 'hands-on' training time to better serve the needs of ICT advisors and coordinators.

In 2002, Logotron are planning to extend their scheme to try and reach every corner of the UK. ICT Advisors have responded positively to the workshops and are encouraged by Logotron's energy and commitment to delivering creative software accessible to all (Low Threshold), yet limitless in potential (High Ceiling).

Gareth Owen, Education Sales Director reflected his customers' reactions to the workshops: 'The response to the workshops in 2001 has been fantastic, providing a priceless forum for Logotron, as a team, to really understand the need of our partners in the teaching and advisory communities, whilst they begin to understand the simplicity and power of our flagship products.'
