LOGOTRON LAUNCHES ANYWHERE-ANYTIME LEARNING TOOL

It hasn't taken very long for Logotron, a newly independent company since 1st January, to launch a major learning tool in the time-honoured tradition of their imprint.

With a long history of massively popular Logo products behind them, Logotron has now published the world's first educational tool with integrated adaptive speech technology, tailored especially for children's use.

But IMAGINE is more than that.... it is a multimedia and web-authoring tool that can be used by a Key Stage 2 pupil, a primary teacher, or professional software developer with equal comfort. It comprises a myriad of tools and features through which it becomes an integrated companion to learning in all key areas of the curriculum.

IMAGINE offers an "all in one place" solution for learners to create and complete projects "anywhere, anytime". Painting, animation, modelling, logo projects, multimedia projects, web-authoring, speech input and output, drag & drop learning frameworks, presentations, building programs, communicating ideas, or creating real broadband interactivities to share across the web... IMAGINE provides the environment for which learners would normally have to use a number of separate programs.

Why would a teacher or pupil want to struggle with separate Logo, Dazzle, My World, Hyperstudio, music, animation and web-authoring programs, when they can find the necessary tools in IMAGINE....? Why indeed!

Julian Pixton, Logotron's Chief Technology Officer, the driving force behind the development of Imagine Logo, underlines the importance of this release, "IMAGINE will help to change the way people think about undertaking learning projects. Imagine Logo gives all learners the chance to think differently. How many educational software titles have you seen that help learners Suppose, Expect, Speculate, Guess, Deliberate, Propose, Conceive, Envisage, Create, Make, Conceptualise, Anticipate, Discuss, Plan, Calculate, Intend, Take Control and, of course, IMAGINE?

IMAGINE is a seminal software tool for learning, the way Logotron Logo was 18 years ago, and it's the first time the initial promise of Logo has been realised in a coherent and accessible way!"
