Free Hands On Training for ICT specialists
TIME is a luxury that most teachers cannot afford and that is why
free training workshops run by software companies like Logotron
are becoming increasingly popular in the UK.
On 25th March software providers Logotron will be hosting a Hands-on
Training Workshop in Wirral. The morning will focus on their astonishing
new Art & Design package Revelation Natural Art which will be
followed by a 'freestyle' afternoon session where educationalists
can choose from a variety of control, modelling and data-handling
packages or Logotron's flagship cross-curricular product Imagine
Logo.
Anxious to leave no stone unturned, Logotron have this year planned
to host 12 workshops nationwide. Tried and Tested since the first
workshop in Salford at the end of 2001, Logotron's formula for the
day has evolved to meet the needs of its attendees. It gives LEA
advisers and ICT co-ordinators a chance to meet to discuss software
for schools and also gain essential 'Hands-on' experience of using
the products.
Educationalists have given the workshops rave reviews:
Bedfordshire Numeracy Consultant, Nick Martin exclaimed: "An
excellent session, very useful and definitely the future for this
type of ICT!!!"
Walsall School Improvement Consultant ICT, Richard Marsden enthused: "The potential of the software is mind blowing. Better than
a full day at BETT."
Windsor & Maidenhead Curriculum Adviser ICT, Katie Moore also
commented: "I have really enjoyed using the software and am
pleased that I did decide to attend this event. It is great to have
time to explore software especially when it is as good as this.
I will certainly attend future events - looking forward to the next
one!"
Ealing ICT Consultant, Mark Robinson agreed saying: "I appreciate
the time I had to explore the software - I often set myself time
but it often gets diverted to other things. It's also great to have
someone there who obviously knows what they're talking about."
