Wirral Educationalists Applaud FREE Software Workshop
TIME is a luxury that most teachers cannot afford and that is why
FREE training workshops run by software companies like Logotron
are becoming increasingly popular in the UK.
Armed with a covetable supply of brand new software and a fresh
insight into some of Logotron's most formidable products, LEAs and
educationalists didn't go home empty handed last month after attending
Logotron's Hands-on Training Workshop in the Wirral. The morning
focussed on their astonishing new Art & Design package Revelation
Natural Art which was followed by an afternoon session where educationalists
could choose from a variety of control, modelling and data-handling
packages, or Logotron's flagship cross-curricular product Imagine
Logo.
Anxious to leave no stone unturned, Logotron have this year planned
to host 12 workshops nationwide. Tried and tested since the first
workshop in Salford at the end of 2001, Logotron's formula for the
day has evolved to meet the needs of its attendees. It gives LEA
advisers and ICT co-ordinators a chance to meet, discuss software
for schools and also gain essential 'Hands-on' experience of using
the products.
Wirral educationalists gave the workshop rave reviews:
"The opportunity to use the software in an unpressurised
environment was extremely useful and the help and advice provided
was excellent," said Beth Frankland, The School House partnership.
"I very much enjoyed the workshop. I really appreciate
the opportunity for some hands-on time. Too often we are talked
at rather than being allowed to experiment," added Lynne
Sweeney, Assistant Manager NW Manchester CLC at Abraham Moss.
"Every school should have a copy of Revelation Natural
Art. It beats everything else I have seen hands down!"
said Christine Beedham, an ICT Consultant in Warrington.
