Logotron at work in Derby
DERBY school, Springfield Primary, this month addressed all the
ICT curriculum requirements of KS1 pupils with one complete package.
Encompassing the activities of writing, counting, making graphs,
painting, and the control-based Turtle application; Logotron's new
Early Essentials package was installed on 16 computers at Springfield
Primary School with excellent results.
As Primary Teacher Ann Thornton enthused:
"We used the product for KS1 children. With very little introduction,
they easily found their way around the program. It has an excellent
range of built in templates which allow it to be used in many different
contexts".
Ann cited: Literacy, Humanities, Art, Technology, Science, ICT,
and Geography as curriculum areas that could all be addressed by
using Early Essentials.
She also commented:
"I particularly liked the speech facility within the Write
activities - a feature of Early Essentials that gives beginners
and non-readers a head start in the classroom."
