GET SWITCHED ON WITH CONTROL INSIGHT 2 -
The latest and best for Design & Technology

With schools beginning to address the shortage of practical skills and vocational subjects moving up the agenda, Logotron is pleased to announce the launch of the latest version of it's acclaimed control software for KS3-4, Control Insight 2.

Packed with updates and new features, Control Insight 2 enables students to build on the fundamentals of Control Technology, which are most frequently concerned with electrical circuits performing real, practical, useful jobs. Increasingly, in the 'real world', these circuits are controlled with the aid of computers. Control Insight 2 allows learners to design, run, check and operate both computer simulations and actual models with motors, lights and buzzers being operated by switches, buttons and pressure mats.

By listening to feedback from current users of Control Insight, Logotron has been able to introduce improvements not only to enhance the user's experience, but also to make the software easier to use.

Now users can simplify the module properties box to automatically adjust the on/off display properties depending on the type of sensor being used; make repeat commands much easier to control; allow toolbars to be customised to view as much or as little as the user wants; use a calculation facility to perform simple arithmetic; edit a sequence with ease with a duplicate; and use an undo/redo feature.

Building on the success of its predecessor, Control Insight 2 scenarios now work with all the major interfaces including the Deltronics and Economatics ranges as well as also being able to output to remote devices such as the Lego RCX Brick®.

Plus, an even greater number of scenarios including the Photocopier, Cash-Dispenser and Speed Trap enable control technology to be carried out as simulations on-screen, without the need for wires and buzzers etc!
This clever software tool, developed in the UK at the University of Leicestershire School of Education by Laurence Rogers, is the companion package to Junior Control Insight also published by Logotron.

Both the clearly written Program Guide and the Teaching and Learning Guide provide comprehensive, foolproof manuals of instruction and lesson material that even the most inexperienced user will feel at ease with.

To ensure that there is no short circuit in your school, purchase Control Insight 2 and create a new generation of inventors!
