Logotron’s Visual Display Of Innovation On Stand SN10

Logotron is delighted to be showing two fantastic new products at BETT 2005 – stand SN10. Innovative and inspiring software, Logotron Visual Fractions and Revelation Sight and Sound are set to deliver a new dimension to teaching as they visually stimulate pupil’s learning.
Launching at BETT will be Logotron Visual Fractions - a real breakthrough in the teaching of fractions. A powerful new tool for teachers, it will provide many new learning opportunities through its unique visual representation of fractional relationships.
Ideal for use by the teacher or pupil on a classroom whiteboard, the software comes with a rich palette of visual maths objects that can be dynamically connected together and their properties varied with just a point and click.
The clever part comes when you apply the toolkit of objects to visually reinforce teaching, using it as a centre of mathematical discussion – Why does that happen? What do you expect to happen if...? How could we show that...? What would I need to do in order to show that…?
The scripting facility allows you to create and save ‘explanation’ or ‘experiment’ frameworks either as single activities or as linked sequences of screens, so that fraction lessons can be well, paced and focused.
Previewing at BETT will be Revelation Sight & Sound -the digital video companion to Revelation Natural Art. It provides an incredibly versatile tool with which you will be able to create radio programmes, slideshows, rostrum camera documentaries, and even high quality video feature films. The software comes with a wealth of resources and many activities can be completed just with access to an ordinary digital camera.
Literacy is the art of communicating and, in the modern world, moving image media are as much a part of literacy as traditional printed materials. Now the materials used in literacy lessons need not be restricted to printed words, they can include images and sounds as well.
The extensive Activity Guide teaches how to communicate in a variety of forms and genres. It helps pupils learn communication skills and techniques, which they will be able to use throughout their lives. Plus, putting the world of film-making at their fingertips, in an easily managed and accessible classroom format.
The carefully selected sample video clips, sounds, music and images will help pupils develop their literacy skills using multimedia elements, without any need to purchase specialist photography or film-making equipment.
Pupils can also produce powerful and persuasive documentaries and video projects using nothing more than a microphone and still images produced on a simple, low cost digital camera.
To meet the team, preview the exciting new ventures, see a demonstration, or just have a friendly chat and pick up a pen! Please visit stand SN10 .
