The Training Workshops
Each workshop is intended to last approximately 3 hours so this could be used as part of a professional training day with
a formal session followed by a practice follow up and would offer a reliable framework for professional development. The
workshop could also be used over a series of 1 hour lunch time or after school workshops to build expertise and could
either be used in a whole week, or over a longer period of time such as once a week for a month.

Digital Video (DV) has become an important tool for both teaching and learning.
It can enhance learning and dramatically improve pupil attitudes. It offers unparalleled
opportunities for creativity and collaboration, and invariably brings about increased
motivation, time on task and more effective group work. Digital video, used across the
curriculum, offers a truly creative use of ICT and is a very powerful form of
communication.
Use this Training Workshop to familiarise yourself with Revelation Sight & Sound, and to learn the basic techniques used to create a DV. You will see how easy it is to add images, music, soundtracks and a host of special effects (such as panning, zooming, frame transitions and fades in/out).

Stop-Frame animation is a lot easier than you think. All you need is a digital camera and the props, or characters, that you want to feature in your project. Add a little imagination and away you go!
This Training Workshop assumes that you already have the knowledge acquired in the Stills and Films Training Workshop. However, a step by step animated viewlet is included here to guide you through the basics if you need a refresher.
