Viewpoint and URLs
One powerful feature of Viewpoint is its ability
to accept World Wide Web addresses (URLs) in text fields.
It's really easy to set these fields up. Simply create a text
field of a suitable length in Layout view; then type in the
full URL addresses on your database sheet. These become live
URLs which can be clicked on to take you directly to that
website (no need to copy and paste).

A few of the example datafiles provided with Viewpoint include
some URL links for you to try. From time to time, however, sites
may change their URL address and this will result in an error
message when you try to link to the site via the Viewpoint datafile.
If we find a URL which no longer links to the described site,
we will update the file on this site. In order to keep you updated
a full list of all the altered files will appear below for you
to download.
No download available at present.
Diana Wilson, ICT Curriculum Co-ordinator, Coleridge Community
College, in her introduction to the Viewpoint manual suggests
many World Wide Web sites for further research when collecting
data for new datafiles.
NB: These suggested sites may also change
their URL addresses.
